The chaplains at Saint Mary's Spiritual Care program provide a caring presence to patients,
visitors and staff of all faiths. They are available from 8:00 a.m. to 9:30 p.m., seven days a week.
Chaplains are also available after hours on an on-call basis for emergencies or critical spiritual needs.
The chaplains also assist patients in reaching community spiritual representatives. The Spiritual Care staff
is skilled in meeting the many differing needs of hospitalized patients, including the acutely ill, long-term and
rehabilitation, and outpatients.
Saint Mary's chapel, located on the first floor of the Medical Center, is open 24 hours a day for quiet reflection
and meditation. Mass is celebrated in the chapel at noon Sunday through Friday, and a 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.
Mass is also broadcast from the chapel to patient rooms daily via closed circuit television. Catholic Sacraments
are also available through the department.
The Spiritual Care department trains community members to be Volunteer chaplains and Eucharistic Minister Volunteers.
